- Historic Kursaal

The Kursaal was the world’s first ever theme park. Designed by the architect Campbell Sherrin, the ballroom had the finest dance floor in England, and was graced by some of the most famous bands and orchestras in the country. Ted Heath, Johnny Dankworth, Cleo Lane,Vera Lynn had all graced the stage. Famous rock bands have also appeared including Thin Lizzy, AC/DC, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath.
